Yes, All of the Frankenstein Movies are Coming to Blu-ray...and There's More!

Almost exactly a year ago, Psychobabble reported that Universal was working on restoring all five of its Frankenstein movies that had not already been released on blu-ray: that's Son of Frankenstein, Ghost of Frankenstein, Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman, House of Frankenstein, and House of Dracula. Well, it's now official that these films will, indeed, be collected in a blu-ray box due for release on September 13. The previously released titles Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, and Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein will also be part of the set (new extras are limited to trailers for the sequels).

But there's more, because that date will also see the release of a Wolf Man set! The downside is that there is a lot of overlap between the two sets with both containing the two House movies, Abbott & Costello, and ...Meets Frankenstein. Exclusive to the Wolf Man set will be Werewolf of London and She-Wolf of London. If that latter turkey is deemed worthy of hi-def restoration, can a Dracula box or a Creature from the Black Lagoon box or a Mummy box be far behind. Let's pencil those in for Halloween 2017 and rejoice in what's in store for this coming season! Pre-order now:
