Another Round of Hammer Horror Coming This September

Just last week Psychobabble reported that a big eight-film Blu-ray bundle of Hammer Horror Classics will be coming from Universal Studios Home Entertainment on September 13. Not to be outdone, Mill Creek Entertainment will also be releasing its Hammer properties on Blu-ray one week earlier. The films will be appearing on two double-feature sets: one containing The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll (with its oddball reversal in which Jekyll is the mutt and Hyde is the dashing dude) and The Gorgon (with its wonderful rubber-snake-wigged gorgon/werewolf hybrid), the other containing The Revenge of Frankenstein (with its second outing for Peter Cushing as the nefarious doctor) and The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (with its... ummm...its... actually, I'm not sure if I've ever seen this one). Even if Warner Brothers does not get its second volume of Hammer Horror Classics together in time for October, it should still be a very Hammery Halloween for Region A dwellers.
