Two More Horrors on Landmark Loew's' Halloween Season Schedule

First of all, my apologies for the sporadic posts lately, but I'm busy working up new material for this coming Monster Movie Month on Psychobabble. And, apparently, I'm not the only one making preparations for October's horrific festivities. As I reported earlier this month, my local movie palace, The Landmark Loew's in Jersey City, will be showing Murnau's Nosferatu with live organ accompaniment on September 24th. Now they've announced the rest of their Halloween season schedule: on Friday, October 22, the theater will be hosting an 8 PM screening of Hammer's Brides of Dracula. The following night they'll be showing Universal's Son of Frankenstein, the final film in the series to feature Karloff as the Monster and the first to feature Lugosi in arguably his greatest role: Ygor. Son shows at 6 PM before the 7:30 showing of Nosferatu.

And those who can't wait a month to get the creepiness started can check out tonight's showing of Michael Powell's Peeping Tom. Hope to see you there...
